Dana Jenney became one of America’s most photographed and highly-paid models of the 1950s. She also had a career in journalism, writing a column for a New York daily. This image was chosen by Bryan Holme to be included in the 1950 book, Poet’s camera, in which photographs accompanied poems selected by Thomas Forman. A young casual-looking Jenney, unusually for Bruehl shot out of doors, was paired with Shakespeare’s Sonnet CVI.
