The album was made for William Lygon, Earl Beauchamp, governor of New South Wales, to welcome him to Australia in May 1899. It includes six small oil paintings mounted together in a leather album with a decorative gold pattern and a gold, stamped title on the cover: A. Henry Fullwood, Sketch of a hut (top left), J.S. Watkins Lady reclining (top right); an unsigned sketch of a horse and cart (centre left); Tom Roberts, Portrait (centre); George W. Lambert, Man with two plough horses (centre right) and Long’s Seascape (below).
