Spirits of the Land

The bush had a magic and spirit of its own for Long and painted many images of the Spirits of the land.

He developed his own personal pagan vision in which he conjured up the Spirits of the bush and created another reality where harmony and beauty pervade.

In these images he expressed his fascination with the mystical aspects of the bush, the elemental forces of nature. His sprites were a natural outgrowth of the bush, an extension of its soul.
