What are the hours of the exhibition?
10am – 5pm every day (closed Christmas day)
The last session into the exhibition is 3.30pm.

How long will the exhibition be in Canberra?
Open 6 Dec 2013 – 21 Apr 2014.

Will the exhibition be on anywhere else?
No, the exhibition will be showing in Canberra only.

Will tickets be available on the day?
Yes, tickets will be sold during the exhibition at the Gallery front desk subject to availability.

Are school bookings available?
Yes. School groups are able to book free of charge from 9am - 10am during school terms.

Are group bookings available?
Discounts are available for bookings of 10+ and can be booked by contacting Ticketek Groups on 1300 364 001 or GroupBookings@ticketek.com.au

Is there a restriction to how long I can spend in the exhibition?
You can spend as long as you like viewing the exhibition. Most visitors spend an hour or more viewing the exhibition. Pass-outs are available.



 

Can I view other areas of the National Gallery of Australia?
The Gallery is free to enter and you are able to view all galleries during your visit. Only the Gold and the Incas exhibition is paid entry.

Are pass outs allowed?
Yes you are able to scan your ticket out of the exhibition and enter at a later time.

Are there Audio Tours for this exhibition?
Yes, there is an adult and a children's Audio Tour that can be pre-purchased or purchased at the Gallery when you arrive. The Audio Tour commentary is by Phillip Adams, the host of ABC Radio National's Late Line Live.

Are there Guided Tours for this exhibition?
Yes, free guided tours will be available at 10.15am, 11.15pm 1.15pm and 2.15pm daily. Please meet at the front desk.

Is photography permitted in the exhibition?
Photography is not permitted in the Gold and the Incas Exhibition. Photography in other areas of the National Gallery is not permitted due to conservation requirements.

Are food and drinks permitted in the exhibition?
No food or drinks are permitted inside the National Gallery.

Are food and drinks available at the National Gallery of Australia?
The Gallery has one main café on the lower ground floor, a Street Café and a restaurant that's open from Wednesday to Sunday.

Are there souvenirs I can purchase?
Yes, a range of products will be available including the catalogue during the exhibition. The Gallery Shop is open during Gallery opening hours and the shop can also be found when exiting the Exhibition.

Is there a cloak room?
Yes, a cloak room is available just past the front desk at the Gallery.
