The NGA is located in the heart of Canberra, near Parliament House, the High Court of Australia and next door to the National Portrait Gallery. You can also get to the NGA from the path around Lake Burley Griffin if you walk through the Sculpture Garden.

Parking
Weekend parking is free.
NGA paid parking applies on week days until 5pm. The main parking area is underground and accesible via King Edward Terrace off Parkes Place .
Weekend only, free, above ground NGA parking is also available off Bowen Drive.
Limited mobility parking is available in both. Assisted lift access to the NGA is available only from the underground parking area.

Audio Guides
Audio guides are available for adults with a special tour for children. Hire an iPod from the NGA preloaded with all tours for $7—these can be pre-purchased to be collected when you arrive. You can also download the free Love and Desire audio guide from the Apple or Google Play app stores onto your own device, available for the duration of the exhibition.
Auslan tours
Guided tours with an Auslan interpreter will be scheduled during the exhibition. See What’s On for dates and times. Multimedia tours for adults and children include a readable transcript along with audio and images for accessibility. Visitors can hire an iPod from the NGA for $7, or download the tour app from the Apple or Google Play app stores.
