Venue

The National Gallery of Australia's collections include more than 100,000 works of art across four main areas: Australian art, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander art, Asian art and International art Works in the Gallery are part of Australia's national collection.

They belong to the people of Australia and are preserved and presented for their enjoyment and education. It is the Gallery's intention to make the collection as widely appreciated as possible both in Australia and overseas.

Getting here

The National Gallery of Australia is located in the Parliamentary triangle in Canberra. This is approximately a 20 minute walk to the City Centre. Google map

Bus

Various ACTION bus routes run from the various city centres past the National Gallery of Australia on a regular basis. The most frequent and useful routes can be found here (pdf)

Car

Secure three hour limit parking is available beneath the National Gallery of Australia. All carparks are regularly patrolled by parking inspectors so visitors are advised to check restrictions before leaving their vehicle.
